When Masaba tweeted that she had dressed Sakshi Dhoni for the BCCI Awards function, we got quite curious. While we couldn’t find a good full-length of the sari, pics across the web gave us a good idea of what the outfit looked like, which was a pink and blue sari paired with a white halter blouse.

From what we saw, we can say, we weren’t quite fans because of one, the white blouse, two, the huge pendant and most importantly, the hair. It made the whole look rather frumpy.

Don’t blame us for expecting a wee bit more effort from the wife of Indian cricket’s numero uno man right now!

You can see more of the sari more Here and Here.

Love this dress on Mansi… The print’s just so fun!

Am not one for white pumps coz’ they rarely ever do work and just end up looking way too stark and awkward but in this case, they don’t really bother me. Maybe because shoes aren’t the first things you register or even the second… Seen the clutch? We probably wouldn’t have paired the pink Jimmy Choo fold-over clutch with that dress but do love the way Mansi wears her whole look.

Being the suckers that we are for fun prints, we had to like this one, didn’t we? 😉

In Masaba

For a recent appearance for Akanksha (a NGO), Jacqueline was spotted in a Masaba. I love the angrakha style jacket/kurta but am not sure about the wrap pants, if they can be called that; the color is gorgeous but the silhouette, not the most flattering.

Masaba: LFW Summer/Resort 2011

Masaba’s strength lies in her ability to pair dramatic and strong contrasting colors together and making ’em work. She also has this knack for picking out a print that sticks. In this collection it was the ‘foot-impression’which she did use really well. We loved the use of polka dots and the animal print draped jumpsuit was one of our favorites pieces from the collection.

As fun and youthful as this collection was, and now that Masaba’s found her groove, we do think now she ought to perhaps pour in tad more thought into the finish of these products.
