Wearing what seemed like a velvet Manish Malhotra gown, Preity attended the Star Screen Awards on Friday evening. Hasn’t it been eons since we saw her at an awards ceremony? I can’t quite remember.

Anyhoo, coming back to the outfit, I wasn’t quite a fan of the coiled rope neck detailing on the gown but she still looked nice.

On an aside, I am so eaderly waiting for Ms. Zinta to bring back some of her mojo. After all, she was one of the first folks to do a real red carpet look.

Shriya attended the Star Screen Awards wearing an emerald green Manish Malhotra gown. I may not care for that cutout detail which I think could’ve been totally skipped but going by her past looks, this wasn’t bad at all. Am glad she skipped on bling and let the gown be the highlight of the look.

At Anil Kapoor’s birthday bash, Sridevi was seen in a Manish Malhotra lehenga. Yep, you read that right! This is a Manish Malhotra creation and you aren’t the only one finding it hard to believe it. I am too.

Besides the fact that I didn’t like the lehenga one bit, am also a bit surprised at the choice. The entire look just seems just way too overwhelming for a private house party. A light weight chiffon sari by the designer might have been so much more appropriate.

At the Guild Awards, Bhumi gave us another black gown, this time wearing a floral applique one by Manish Malhotra. Hair in a sleek middle-parted do, she skipped on jewellery and opted for a nude lip.

While she looked good, I’d like to see Ms. Pednekar in some other silhouettes than the A-line ones she’s been sporting back to back.

At the Ambani bash last weekend, Sonali was also seen in a Manish Malhotra. But of all the women we saw in MM that night, hers had to be one of our least favorites. Neither were we fans of the colors used to make the kalidars nor the top to bottom kalidar design itself. Reminded us of window treatments.
