Malaika did separates at the music launch of DKD wearing a Hugo Boss jacket with Manish Arora leggings. The leggings may have been spunky but she gave the look a more elegant touch by wearing her hair in a ponytail and adding vintage Sonia Rykiel earrings from Viange. Since she was representing more as the producer of the film, I quite appreciate the move.

The issue with this look though was the jacket itself. The satin yellow jacket probably looked good in person but photographed horribly.

Malaika shimmered at Farah’s birthday bash in a Alice + Olivia pleated dress that was finished out with a silver cuff and a silver Louis Vuitton clutch.

As fabulous as she looked, the sparkly Louboutins felt a bit excessive for the look. I think a grey pump would’ve balanced the look better and kept the focus more on the dress and face.

Malaika also helped judge the Miss Maxim 2015 pageant and she too went for a one-shouldered gown, hers being a Monisha Jaising. Vintage Chanel earrings (via Viange), a Bvlgari watch and a Miu Miu clutch finished out her look.

While she looked nice, my problem with the gown is that the bodice reminds me a lot of caul fat. I know I might have ruined it for you too. Sowwie! A side-effect of watching too much Top Chef/Chopped…
