Malaika attended Christmas Eve mass wearing a black velvet Saint Laurent mini with t-strap sandals and a Chanel bag. Now that I have seen the model, part of me wishes Malaika had also worn the dress with tights to make it a more mature and polished look.

As is, it looks she is about to head to a club rather than a mass.

Malaika also helped unveil Shilpa’s new line of mobile phones on Wednesday and like the latter also wore a leather accented outfit but while Shilpa wore a suit, Ms. Arora opted for a Dhruv Kapoor dress. Paired with simple earrings by Maheep Kapoor and a ring by Mahesh Notandas, her look was finished out with sparkly Louboutins.

She looked good.

At Natasha Poonawalla’s baby shower, Malaika sported a striped Plakinger maxi with vintage gold earrings and a sleek top knot. Even though she looked good, given that this was an afternoon event, the look felt a bit formal. This look should’ve been saved for an evening event.

Changing things up, Malaika attended back-to-back Diwali parties last night wearing a Sanjay Garg lehenga with a rather conservatively wrapped dupatta. With her hair in a severe knot, she finished out the look with a minaudière and show-stopping polki necklace. It was an unexpected, dramatic look, and one in which Malaika fared well.
