Of Covers

Versace’s Spring 2018 runway show will forever be memorable for bringing back the most iconic supermodels of my times (the 90s) and this month, Elle pays ode to that moment by featuring some favorite models from India on their April cover, wearing Versace, but of course! (Note to keep in mind, this possibly is a very paid collab…)

I did love the idea and it was refreshing not to see another leading lady from Bollywood on the cover. So kudos, Elle, for this!

Having said that though, this would’ve been my wishlist for truly nailing the 90s Original Supermodels edition. Mehr Jessia, Noyonika Chatterjee, Shyamoli Varma, Madhu Sapre and Indrani Dasgupta. Add Sheetal Mallar, Nina Manuel too!

Wearing a Deme mini, Malaika was photographed leaving a popular suburban eatery in Mumbai. With her hair pulled back in a ponytail, she rounded out the look with a Gucci clutch and pair of Christian Louboutin sandals.

In Gucci

Malaika went off-duty in her denim short shorts and a Gucci graphic tee recently. Her choice of accessories included a backpack and logo belt, also Gucci. With her hair pulled back in to a ponytail, she rounded out the look with a pair of sneakers.

Whether you warm up to this look or not, there’s no denying Malaika made it work for her!

For a recent round of travel, Malaika picked a slouchy suit to wear. Ponytail in place, she rounded out her look with a pair of Chanel espadrilles. She worked her off-duty look!

In Balmain

Pairing her denims with a Balmain tank, Malaika was photographed as she made her way in to the airport. A gold-toned cuff, Balenciaga tote and pair of Louboutins were among her accessories of choice. She made it all work!
