Ananya attended the Vogue Forces of Fashion event in Mumbai on Wednesday evening wearing LaQuan Smith. Considering the event theme, I wish she’d picked something more eventful than a metallic bra and skirt. It’s not that she looked bad, this outfit felt more suited to a cocktail awards event than a fashion themed one. A missed opportunity, really.

Also wearing LaQuan Smith was Ms. Bharucha who sported a red puff-sleeve mini dress from the designer’s label. I liked the idea of doing a tonal look but the dress seemed a wee bit snug at the bottom and personally I wasn’t warming up to those platform sandals.

Wearing a Laquan Smith sequin dress, Tamannaah attended the GQ Best Dressed event on Friday evening. The purple on purple sure was striking but comparing the retail version (and I saw quite a few) and the one on hers, it seems like hers was modified to add a bit more fabric to the side. Putting that aside, this look also felt like the case of the stylist visualizing herselfin the look instead of Ms. Bhatia. It wasn’t working in real life.
