Not Quite

It’s been eons since we last saw Urmila and while it was great to see her front row at LFW, her outfit was a whole different story. The dress I quite like, can’t say the same for those (or in my case, all) loafer-style pumps or her red lips. Nude lipgloss and just a simple pair of maroon/red pumps would have worked much better for her. What say you?

P.S. Let’s not forget how bad the dark roots look either!

In Neeta Lulla

We’ve seen Hema Malini do this before… wear something from a collection that hasn’t even hit the runway yet and that’s exactly what she did at the Neeta Lulla show again.

Seen in a sari from the designer’s latest collection, Hema Malini didn’t quite make the impact she usually does. The monochromatic beige absolutely washed her out; between the long sleeves, the sari and the bag, there was just too much of beige for the eye to take in!

In Nishka Lulla

The young Ms. D’Souza was spotted at the Nishka Lulla show on Day one of Lakme Fashion Week in a dress also from the very designer’s latest showing…

For us, the collection was a bit too tween and reminiscent of Rocky S. There also seemed to be some traces of Barbie… Much too saccharine for us but then we are hoping we aren’t the target audience and the collection is meant for much, much younger women.

Personally, the way I see this collection working on slightly older women or even in an editorial way is only if it was styled with a hard edge. A cutesy dress paired with heavy eyes, severe hair, a leather rocker jacket and some fierce heels. Throw in some studs too. But that’s just me. 🙂

P.S: Dia Mirza walked for Nishka Lulla.

In Emilio Pucci

Ms. Dhody was spotted on day one of Lakme Fashion week in an Emilio Pucci dress that she paired with a black clutch and tan sandals. You’ll mostly hear us say contrast with shoes but this time I wish Rita had worn black pumps instead of those yellow sandals. They just were so bleh.

Again. And Again.

Is third time the charm for Ms. Tandon?

As for Ms. Jhangiani, we much prefer her BCBG One-Shoulder Printed Tank paired with denims and pulled back hair rather than the capris she most recently wore.
