We loved Shrivan and Narresh‘s collection and can’t quite blame Pratima for wanting to wear that outfit out (who wouldn’t? the colors are fabulous!) but let’s face it, somethings are better left alone for the sandy beaches. Like brightly colored umbrella drinks and sarongs.

Seeing Pratima hold on to her dress in an attempt to avoid peek-a-boo moments in all of her pictures had us thinking… it must not have made for a very comfortable evening. :p

That aside (and the mis-matched clutch), she does look lovely.

When will Babita ditch these unflattering pants? Considering the designer showed a really nice Resort collection, why won’t she just wear pieces from that? These pants have gots to go!

This soulful songstress quite has a distinctive style of her own. Outfits that just wouldn’t work on anyone else, on her, worn with ease and élan totally work…

High praise? We think not. In a world of cookie-cutter fashion where “sequin” is as commonplace as is the use of the word “couture”, one cannot apreciate individual style enough, as far removed as it may be from our own personal style.

P.S: Totally loving the blue dress with the matte gold jacket on her.

Hard to comment on the dress with the little that we see, but the little that we do see, we like… A bright, cheery dress. Glad she skipped the belt.

Here’s hoping the shoes didn’t kill the look while we scout for a full length pic.

Wearing Her Own

Wearing a kaftan from her latest collection was designer Pria Kataria Puri at a recent wine-tasting for which she played host.

While we weren’t too fond of the jewel print on the saris, it worked wonderfully well on some of the kaftans shown on the runway (not pictured below). Wearing one such kaftan was the designer in a very tricky shady of blue that seemed to totally work for her. I like.
