Maria, who las long supported Payal Singhal, took in the designer’s show at LFW wearing a sari from the label. And at a party later, she was spotted in a look from the designer’s latest collection.

Of the two, her appearance in the sari has our vote. It was no contest really!

Wearing Payal Singhal suits, both Shaheen and Shweta sat from row at the designer’s show. Gold-tone jewelry and silver-toned heels finished out both their looks. Can’t say we were big fans of either outfit but there’s no denying, Ms. Tripathi was the one to fare better. Shaheen’s outfit does great disservice to her.

Wearing Falguni and Shane Peacock, Michelle took in the designer duo’s show at fashion week. With her hair pulled back in to a ponytail, the Mumbai socialite finished out the look with diamond jewelry, Bottega Veneta clutch and pair of nude pumps. She wears her look well.

At LFW, Konkona was photographed in a Sanjay Garg sari. I don’t know about you but we sure loved it. Draped perfectly (look how those stripes line up), the minimalist styling helped the sari pop. Konkona made it work!

Am too much of a purist (or a wuss, depending on who you ask) to attempt a non-traditional drape. But that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate the ease with which people like Konkona wear their saris. It looks both contemporary and effortless while still packing a packing a punch, perhaps even an equivalent of the denim-tee-killer pumps ‘dressed up-but-not’ aesthetic.

At the ongoing fashion week, Monica was photographed in a Hemang Agrawal houndstooth sari. Top knot and strong lip color rounded out the look. First things first, love the sari and love how she wears it. No two ways about it!

But, and there’s a ‘but’… Given the sari itself, I wish it was paired with a blouse that didn’t compete with it. And the lip color was much too harsh. Taking the metallic tones in to account, Monica would’ve been better served with a more glossier, dewy, softer lip color.
