Janhvi attended an event on Monday wearing a vintage dress from Miu Miu’s Spring 2003 collection with strappy sandals and her hair in an updo. No denying that she looked great but point to note is her multiple appearance in Chinese-inspired outfits. First the Cheongsam-inspired Cavalli, last year, then the custom Anamika Khanna (see far below) featuring Chinese embroidery and now this Cheongsam silhoutte again in the Miu Miu.

Am not complaining though, she has been looking good in them.

In Swadesh x Manish Malhotra

Janhvi and Khushi attended the store launch of Swadesh wearing custom Manish Malhotra who used woven fabric from Swadesh to create their costumes. Janhvi’s corset sharara was quite interesting but I didn’t care for Khushi outfit one bit. That cutout jumpsuit/jacket wasn’t my cup of tea.

Following is not related to the Kapoors but goes more about the celebs at this event. I know am late to the commentary (was busy prepping for my Kathak exam) but these collab creations with designers defeats the purpose of the messaging of this initiative. If am not mistaken, it is meant to highlight the art and craft and artisans and this was the one occasion, these celebs could’ve opted for simple pieces that highlighted the artisan without the additional “designer” element. They wear designer almost every other day.

Of Wedding Festivities

The Kapoor sisters attended a wedding with Janhvi wearing a caped lehenga from Anamika Khanna and Khushi in a sari from Itrh. Between the two, was drawn more to Jahnvi in her lehenga.

Janhvi attended an awards event wearing an yellow floral print cheongsam-inspired mini dress from Cavalli‘s Spring 2023 collection with minimalist ankle-strap sandals. She looked good in it!
