Doing Denim

In their white tops, denims and designer bags (L to R- Chanel, Tom Ford and Gucci), Tania, Haseena and Penny were photographed at a recent art exhibition. Despite the common theme, their look was quite different from each other which then leads us to ask… Whose look are you gravitating to most?

Vested Interests

Gauri and Tania both may have sported the vests at the Bandra 190 event but each managed to make the look very different with a few finishing touches. While the former chose a white on white color scheme with a printed vest from her Satya Paul collection, the latter chose a grey paillette vest to go with her black denims.

Between the Chanel brooches and the oversized red Tom Ford clutch, I shouldn’t quite like Tania’s look but I don’t mind it. Maybe because I like Gauri’s look even less. A sleek ponytail and Gauri would’ve won had my vote. As is though, the middle parted hairdo and the smoky eyes felt too heavy duty.

Ditto!

Binal attended a spa launch keeping it low-key in a Turquoise & Gold jumpsuit, one that was also seen on Priyanka last year at a party. While Binal kept her look low-key, Priyanka went dressy.

I didn’t quite care for either Binal’s or Priyanka’s bag/footwear pick but do think Priyanka looked better overall. What say you?

In DKNY

At producer Karim Morani’s birthday bash, Kanika sparkled in a sequin DKNY dress, one that she wore with peep-toe boots and a Chanel Lego clutch.

I can’t say am a fan of the mid-cald boots, just never have been, but she sure wore the look well.

In Not So Serious By Pallavi Mohan

The Hyderabad edition of the Times Food Guide Awards saw Lakshmi in a Not So Serious by Pallavi Mohan dress. Wearing the crochet lined dress with a a strand of Chanel pearls, her look was finished out with a pop of color which came via a pair of pink Coach flats.

I get that the modification to expose the crochet was made to make the dress more interesting but am just not a fan of it. And, as timeless as Chanel beads are, a mix of long and short pearl strands would’ve made the look stand out more. The single strand didn’t really add much to the look.
