Recent round of movie promotions had Pooja reach for an Arpita Mehta lehenga to wear. A small bindi and pair of jhumkis rounded out the actor’s look. She looked nice but the lehenga did feel rather OTT for movie promotions.

Rakul attended Diwali parties in Mumbai wearing lehengas that featured embellished blouses. And she accessorized both with statement earrings.
Between the tropical print Arpita Mehta (below, left) and the gold-toned Manish Malhotra, have a favorite? I wasn’t drawn to either look in particular but if I had to choose, much prefer the sighting in Arpita Mehta. The sequins/embellishment on the MM choli (blouse) looked like an after-thought and the lehenga itself, for a lack of better word, looked very “inexpensive”.
