Amy on Femina Brides: (Un)Covered

Amy features on the Femina Brides cover wearing a beige Falguni and Shane Peacock lehenga. Anyone else feel the cover is too one-noted.

Doing Desi

Doing red and green from head to toe literally was Amy, who attended the audio launch of Siva Thaandavam in Chennai today. Think the coordinating was too much or just right?

In Asmita Marwa

While it was refreshing to see an Asmita Marwa on Amy, we’re not feeling the sequin bikini blouse that Amy paired the sari with.

Also, wish Amy had either paired her sari with lower heels allowing the sari to fall better or went the chotu sari route.

Between the blouse and the length, lets just call this one a Not Quite.

In Twos

Dresses with pumps were the outfit of choice for Amy at two Chennai events recently. Of the two, we’re going to go with the yellow peplum one. You?

LFW Winter/Festive 2012: Pernia Qureshi

Pernia’s show probably was the most anticipated show right after the Gen Next Show. The stylist turned designer presented a Western collection mostly with its only Indian piece coming in the form of a sari on showstopper Amy Jackson. Dropped waist shifts, knee-length beaded dresses and separates marked a collection reminiscent of the 20s.

Some of the looks felt very basic if you ignored the styling. Some pieces also had an Atsu influence (she is a muse to the designer after all). Having said that, we also think the simple collection is just what we need to see on the stars and we’re sure to see it soon, if not on Pernia herself first. After all, she is her best ambassador.
