In Gauri And Nainika

For the Kids Choice Awards, where she also performed at, Alia sported a burgundy Gauri and Nainika mini. Considering the event, I liked that she chose to wear a dress. The issue for me though was with the dress itself. Doesn’t it feel like this started off as a gown and someone decided to cut off the lower portion? I also didn’t care for the suede sandals. The jewelled tone dress needed a different pair of footwear.

Would’ve loved seeing her in some of Moschino’s fun prints.

In Bibhu Mohapatra

Doing a complete turnaround from yesterday was Ms. Ranaut going dark for her appearance at the Mr. India pageant. The actor sported a Bibhu Mohapatra fitted dress that featured a tulle train but instead of going classic, she opted for a dark purple lip.

I liked the idea and do love the dark lip, my issue was with the dress. The tulle train looked awkward but the bigger issue was the fit. It was just so tight at the bust, I am having a tough time breathing just looking at her.

Sari Style

Kangana helped unveil Shobhaa De’s book on Wednesday and for the event wore a floral painted chiffon sari with a statement necklace from Dia. While she looked lovely, I would’ve preferred a plain emerald or plain pearl necklace. But, that’s just me.

In Mark Bumgarner

Changing things up, Madhuri picked a Mark Bumgarner gown for a recent appearance of hers. With an Etro belt adding bit of a visual interest to the black gown, the actor rounded out her look with Aurelle by Leshna Shah jewelry and strappy black sandals.

We’d have picked a different pair of shoes but it’s a minor gripe. The sighting sure made for a welcome change of pace; Madhuri looked nice.

In Teuta Matoshi Duriqi

Alia walked the Lux Golden Rose Awards wearing a frilly gown by Teuta Matoshi Duriqi and while the red on red in theory was a good idea, this appearance was a let down because of the gown itself. Those straps just looked like a kid’s arts and craft project. I picture the gown without it and like it so much more.
