It is very common for labels to send out pieces to celebrity clients so that they sport them and because of that we see one or two dittos here and there. But, with this particular kurta suit from The Loom, the count of spottings is now upto six.
Wonder if Genelia’s is the final sighting.

Brand ambassador for Gucci, Alia was spotted dressed down and up but pairing both outfits with the Gucci horsebit quilted shoulder bag. Surprised that instead of sporting a bag from the current season to promote buying she was sporting one that is from an older season.
Like the bag?
P.S. This style of the big horsetbit was originally introduced in the Tom Ford era. Catch this other person sporting one of the original bags from that era here..

Alia attended the screening of Umrao Jaan paying ode to Rekha by recreating one of her looks from the latter’s movie Silsila. Instead of going the regular sari and blouse route, Alia wore a custom stitched sari from Tarun Tahiliani.
Of course, there is no matching Rekha but this was a good effort. I liked that she didn’t go for an exact recreation and changed things up a bit but having said that, did this look really need a “custom” sari never to be worn again?

Alia walked the closing ceremony of Cannes wearing a custom creation from Gucci that she is a brand ambassador for. I think the flex that her and the stylist were going for was, look we got Gucci to create us a lehenga except that rhinestone GG logo along the border and the mesh design was tacktastic! Also, we have so many amazing designers who make lehengas way better so I never get this need to get an international label to create an Indian garment.
