Black lace with nude lining/underlay is tricky. It very easily can look tacky. And though this Pucci lace gown had a lot going for it, it just wasn’t enough. If only Ms. Narang had worn her hair up! The blonde (?) hair was too much for the dress.

A McQueen clutch and a cocktail ring completed her look.

These ladies did white and black at the Chivas unplugged event and while Binal and Shonali got it right by keeping it simple, Avantika and Shruti added one too many overwhelming elements making their looks too busy.

Freida looked great in the embellished cut-out McQueen at a recent event. While Payal thought the dress needed the belt to finish out the look better, I didn’t mind the look as is. What about you?

On The Red Carpet

Our joy at having spotted the beautiful Ms. Shankar on the red carpet was rather short-lived. While we love the fact that she took the Indian-inspired route with her look for the premiere, the actual choice of outfit left us cold.

There is kitsch that works and kitsch that doesn’t and this particular outfit just didn’t.

Any one else might have been overwhelmed in this Anand Kabra dress, not Ms. Roddam though. She wears it rather well.

A McQueen clutch and nude peep-toe pumps completed her look.
