It’s been a while since I’ve had an Aishwarya sighting where I’ve gone “Hot Damn!”.

Well that is exactly how I felt seeing her pics today at the Vogue Beauty Awards. In her lace off-shoulder Nedret Taciroglu gown and shimmery Choo pumps, the actress looked every bit the bombshell. What made a difference here was the hairdo. That extra effort made all the difference here.

Giving her support to designer Vikram Phadnis at his film’s music launch was Aishwarya on Saturday evening wearing an Anamika Khanna embroidered long jacket and pants.

As pretty as the jacket was, having seen Ms. Rai do these kind of looks so much, I wasn’t blown away by it. An updo would’ve made such a huge difference here. Or even a soft low bun.

Wearing a black Sabyasachi sari, Aishwarya attended the ‘Sachin: A Billions Dreams’ premiere. While I don’t have an issue with the sari or the lip color choice, considering her hair has been the same the past few outings (including Cannes), would’ve loved to see a bindi here. It would’ve made a world of difference and added that much needed extra.

Aishwarya was also seen attending a few more events while at Cannes, specifically the Devdas screening for which she picked an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla long anarkali. Having seen her do the same look plenty of times at home, I wasn’t excited by this apperance.

She sported a gorgeous Georges Hobeika gown for another photo shoot and while she looked lovely there, it felt like it came too quickly after the Mark Bumgarner. To an untrained eye, one would’ve thought this was a picture from her photoshoot from Saturday.

I wish we had better pics of the Monisha Jaising because it was one of the more sleek looks she wore while at Cannes.
