Wearing an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla sari, Nita attended a book launch last evening. Bindi in place, she rounded out her look with diamond jewelry. It’s not very often that we see her wear darker colors and so this sari sure made for a welcome change of pace; Ms. Ambani looked nice.

While Payal took issue with the choice of blouse (not her cup of tea), I thought the mirror-work blouse paired well with the sari in this case. Despite our opposing views, both of us did think Nita wore it well.

Wearing a fringe Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla sari, Twinkle picked up her award at the Hello! Hall Of Fame event. Though we aren’t the biggest fans of the color (it looked super washed out under the lights), by virtue of Twinkle being Twinkle, she sure made it work for her; Ms. Khanna looked striking.

Katrina kept it simple at the Hello! Hall Of Fame Awards wearing strapless Jani Khosla gown with jewellery from Gehna and Jimmy Choo heels. She did look nice in the gown but let’s just say we weren’t blown away. We’ll wait for more pics.

Tamannaah attended the Baahubali 2 pre-release function in Hyderabad on Sunday evening wearing an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla creation. I loved this lehenga not only for the vibrant skirt but also because the white peplum jacket helped balance out the skirt quite a bit. And in keeping the hair and make-up simple, she let the separates do all the talking.

It was an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla sari for Ms. Bendre at the Zee Cine Awards, one that she wore with diamond and emerald jewellery by Neelam Kothari (yes, the actor from the 80s/90s).

Maximalism has made a comeback and while we are warming up to it (thanks to Gucci!), can’t say we feel the same way about this look on her. Sometimes you can throw in different design elements and they feel harmonious but most other times, it can just feel busy. That was the case here. I think the designers should have left out the feather detail and perhaps, the sari would’ve worked.
