Sushmita attended the Dadasaheb Phalke awards on Saturday wearing a black gown with a Chanel bag. As much as I love Ms. Sen for her exuberance, and yes the gown was simple but it still felt very dated. Do you like?

I quite liked her sighting. very simple and yet classic. Nothing to fault! And her smile, confidence, and complete non-posey-ness is a million bucks… as always!
I don’t find the dress dated at all, but rather find it to be a classic cut that She could’ve worn a decade ago or a decade from now. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was a part of Sushmita’s own personal wardrobe rather than her getting a new dress for an evening.
I liked it a lot. A classic silhouette + her physique + her smile. What’s not to love?

I am with you P&P. This gown does look very dated. I have several versions on this in both jumpsuit and gowns from 2010 -2014 when this style was very popular especially the neckline. I agree the silhouette is classic and works with Sush’s personal style. Her insta pictures look stunning from this event.
I’ll take this look any day over the OTT or “barbiesque”, puffy gowns seen on the red carpet.

It’s not the gown that’s dated…her hairstyle, bag and shoes are the culprits here IMHO. A clutch or minaudiere, simple strappy sandals and sleeker hair would have brought the look to 2021
