On another note..I am wondering why Sri Devi is receiving so many awards off late..what has she done to be a Super Star..

I am a very big fan of Sridevi. Unquestionably, she is a super talented super gorgeous woman. I think what Pallavi means here is that after being away from any facet of movie making- acting/direction/production etc., she made a comeback with one good movie English Vinglish, for which she’s been praised a lot. But suddenly why is she receiving so many awards? That she received her Padma Shri only now much after Akshay Kumar, Aishwariya Rai and Saif Ali Khan is a giant joke. I almost felt she shoudl have turned it down.
So true. Just like Janaki had the guts to turn down a Padmabushan Sri ji should have done the same. Shame that they had to give her this recognition when she did movies Moonram Pirai(sadma), Mr India and Chandni like almost 3 decades back.

seems like she borrowed the bindi,jhumkas and bun idea from kareena,leaving the mogra so as to not make it too obvious! 😉
but she looks elegant and graceful here,a much better look compared to the net sari look.

ITA with Chintu. I wore the same combo to a desi event at my uni recently and got a few of my non-desi friends to try out the same combo as well and we looked great in our typical, traditional, been-there-for-ever-wayyyy-before-Kareena-Kapoor-or-Sridevi-existed look!
And Sridevi looks very elegant here. She rarely goes wrong with a sari.
its not like kareena is the first one the planet to wear bindi,bun,jhumkas and flowers with a sari..

yet another appearance, yet another award. there are so many such awards today that do they even have any meaning anymore? she looks lovely of course though not loving the sari.
