Sonam attended the HT Most Stylish event wearing a custom embroidered top, handpainted skirt and stole set from Anamika Khanna with jewels from Amrapali. I like that we saw something different than your regular gown here but I feel like between the stole and the potli, Ms. Kapoor seemed to be overwhelmed by things she had to manage in her hand as was evident in some of the videos from the event. (Catch one of them inside). Also, was the fact that she looked rather uncomfortable with the stole.
Overall, this looked like an outfit that seemed better suited for a photoshoot than a real live event. What say you?

Ok so why lie?
This is SONAM EFFIN KAPOOR.
Gorgeous, original, standout and ethereal.
The dress is stunning and she has nailed the attitude with the hair and make up and pose.
I have to politely disagree with the statement that this dress should only be for photo shoots.
It is just practical and comfortable enough looking to be worn out and about.

Well I literally downvoted and criticised her appearance in the last post on this blog… you can go check that out if you are able to pull your head out of the assumption bag.
She really does look great here, just because it is not to your personal taste doesn’t mean that the look doesn’t work.
Would I personally wear this? No! But I appreciate the way it has all come across.

I mean she looked beautiful in the other videos in motion. Here looks like her assistant pulled her dress to spread it out while she was walking back and it caused her to lose her balance for a tiny fraction of a second. She quickly regained composure. She looks gorgeous, she didn’t seem uncomfortable in most of the videos I saw. 10/10 look

The posed photos look great, the pap photos not so much, also because of the wrinkling– as with Kajol’s Anamika pants a while ago. This fabric just isn’t camera-friendly.
Posed photo = photoshopped photo. Subtle enough editing to make it look great!
I feel like the stole is taking away from the dress, as the hems/borders are clashing. Also, I feel like the lace is not flowing well with the fabric of the rest of the dress, and I don’t particular like the fringe below it. The fit is also off on the bodice.
This would have been a much better outfit had the whole dress been in the floral silk fabric – it’s a lovely print and deserved to have stood out on its own.
Lovely outfit and the whole look has a 90s model actor feel, but the body shimmer and the low placed tight top making the boob effect, crass.
Most times her looks are let’s do it all, heavy make up, typical hair, outfit with elements. Take it easy maybe.
