In Anuradha Vakil
The Ahmedabad promotions of DKD saw Sonam Kapoor do a very feminine look in an Anuradha Vakil sari and polki earrings from Amar GhanaSingh. While Sonam wore the sari well, can’t saw am a fan of the sari itself. And this is coming from a die-hard Vakil fan.
The color just felt too dull but that’s just me.

Me too not a fan of thi ssaree and thats because of the print on pallu..colour i have no complain..and i like the golden jootis..
She looks absolutely gorgeous.
Such a refreshing change from being over dressed and trying to hard. This look is effortless elegance!
ya i agree.. for a change I liked her here.. it really provides for a good change from her over stylized looks
+1
She looks gorgeous and it is indeed a refreshing change! maybe a little bright lipstick would have done wonders!
Zaayyum Sonam! You should dress like this everyday beti! Looking so stunning and beautiful and elegant.
Goes without saying that any mother-in-law would be proud to have you as a bahurani!
On the sari, I agree with Payal that it is not the best design but it’s simplicity still makes her look charming. Wouldn’t change a thing.
Not a fan of the Saree at all.
Umm… I LOVE the saree! She carries it really well, and the saree is so beautiful. very feminine, but very elegant too!
I have this irrational hatred toward Sonam after her KWK episode but I will most certainly defend her here.
She looks amazingly beautiful. The colour is beautiful, the hair is stunning, and even her make up is ok for once. Its so sooooo nice to see her look natural and like a normal woman for once. Instead of this caricature of a fashionista. She looks sensual as well which I think suits her more than ‘sexy’.
This is 10/10 for me because how simple it is for Sonam. She looks stunning! I wish I could carry off a sari that well.
Luks like as if she stepped out of a catalogue !
Yuck, this is like a saas bahu serial sari.
You must be one of those Indian girls who think anything traditional and Indian is bad and makes you look like a ‘behanji’.
She looks real nice! Less costumey and more graceful
The saree itself is pretty normal but damn does she carry it well…hair, jewellery, makeup everything on point
She looks really pretty and the makeup is completely on point. The sari could be better though!
shes not overdressed 7 looks comfy.
i will take it. i like the sari. simple+ elegant.
even though i wont wear it myself, she looks good.not OTTT
Very elegant. but could have made the look better by choosing teal colored earrings
i don’t think that’s a print on the Saree…it’s not very clear but I think it’s a hand painted kalamkari and if that’s the truth then I love the Saree minus the sequined flowers.
I sort of hate Sonam kapur but I love this look of hers and this is most definitely not a Saas bahu saree…I have never seen a Saas or a Bahu wear one of the indian traditional handicrafts based saree.
i thought it was a great look till the white skirt/lining killed it for me!
Wow! I like! Simplicity suits her. She should try it more often.

That’s a pretty drab and matronly saree. Don’t like the colours or the print. She had such a long neck!
Love the look head to toe…so natural
Sorry but I wouldn’t have that print even on my pillow.
Sonam looks so stunnigly pretty here…love the simple saree and the styling…what a refreshing change!!!
Still cant believe its an anuradha vakil design!
I always look forward to see her work on these pages…but this is a disappointment…
Sonam looks lovely but the saree is lackluster on her complexion.
She needed more jewel tone color somewhere, either a red lip or green earrings as another commenter mentioned.
That is a beautiful and quite unique sari. Kalamkari has been used but its not a trad klmkri sari. finally a sari where the word designer is appropriate. and twice in a row Sonam got her make up right, clap clap.
I can’t get over how amazing she luks in a simple sari amf very little makeup.her face gets all adorable and cutesy when she is not all decked up.
