Wearing a sari from Peeli Dori, Shweta attended the Critics Choice Shorts and Series Awards on Wednesday evening. With the blouse being a contrasting color, the fit issues were a bit bit distracting. Having said that though, there was an old school charm about this look that I loved.

She looks really pretty. Although the blouse is like one of the times you need to a wear a Saree to a school event at short notice, and you think you can wear mom’s blouse too because you are almost the same size!
Fit issues aside…she looks rather lovely.

I believe that a better blouse especially having closer on the back side would have worked better considering the type of fabric of the sari.

Face looks lovely. Make up is perfect. Sheer saree with an ill fitted blouse looks awkward.
I really dig the 60s throwback vibe of this look. A better blouse fit for such a sheer saree would have really helped.
Pallu draping could have been done better to avoid the blouse issue.

OMG, I haven’t seen these open in the front blouses in a decade now! Remind me of mom’s sarees so much.
I’m surprised this is getting a pass from so many. Charm aside… that blouse like it’s pinned up on the middle is looking like an eye sore. The saree, while the color is good n simple hasn’t been draped properly either in length or pleated. Since it’s transparent every detail or misstep is visible.Nor is she doing a great job holding her pallu with that yogi pose.
Overall it’s a mess.
The sari is lovely and she looks so sweet!
