Shruti attended the SIIMA Awards on Saturday evening wearing a black sari-inspired gown by Gaurav Gupta paired with black sandals. A skull necklace, stacked bracelets and rings finished out her look. While I like the finishing touches, I can’t bring myself to like this particular gown itself. I wish she’d worn a different piece that showed off the designer’s signature sculptural aesthetics.

The top is a little too short and is therefore throwing the proportions off on a gown and style that anyway looks dated and done to death.
Shruti looks really comfy and cool in most of her casual looks but this red carpet thing is definitely a miss !

This goth gown meets sari look isn’t working at all! Shruti is such a pretty girl, who does not need this much make up at all! I wish she’d be a bit more effortless and natural on the red carpet.
Shruthi is a gorgeous gal with a neat figure, however this gown just doesn’t do her any justice at all! As for her make up the less said, the better…
Don’t they do trials and look at themselves in the mirror? Seems like they come to the venue and quickly change in the loo!
This seems tacky …
She’d have killed in it had the right side of the waist been covered.
