Sari Style

Comment image 12

Shriya attended day 1 of SIIMA Awards in Dubai on Friday evening wearing a red benarasi sari and an embroidered blouse. The thing is both the sari and blouse were pretty. The forced drape to show off the whole blouse was quite the downer. This wouldn’t have looked this bad if she’d draped the pallu around the shoulder and to the front and cinched it with a belt.

  1. How not to wear a saree 101. If the intent was to show off the blouse, she would have worn the blouse and gotten a skirt made out of the saree.

  2. Just when I thought her dress sense cant get any more tackier and cheap : ))))
It looks like she’s wearing giant sunglasses to shield the girls, when actually folks looking at this monstrosity of an outfit should be wearing shades to shield their eyes. uggh I want to unsee

  3. Why are Bollywood A-list B-list and C-list women so so obsessed with their b——?

Have they recently discovered it on their bodies?
Has someone sat them down and told them that it always needs to be highlighted and displayed and projected in every cheap tacky way possible?
Has someone given them the delusional idea that it makes them look more sophisticated or educated or modern or talented?
    I am wondering….

They all look crass and unattractive

  4. That incredible face and those features should have been the highlight but are now lost in that mess of a drape. Face, figure, blouse, saree – all phenomenal and yet the look is a let down.

Shriya…you are more than your body. You dont have to lead with it always.

  5. i mean, seriously, short of doing a biology schematic on the body, there’s little else left to draw attention to the breasts. i know they’re catering to the male gaze and we all know indian men are boob men but what i don’t understand is why senior actors like shriya — who’ve been there, proved their prowess and survived — still need to do things that a 19yo could possibly be coerced into doing.
