At the launch event of her husband’s venture, Shilpa was seen in a polka dot dress from Topshop worn with green tassel earrings and ankle-strap sandals.

Once you’ve seen the dress on the model, the bandeau underneath move just looked even more awkward. She would’ve fared better had she worn a short sleeve light knit turtle neck with the dress. Agree/Disagree?

  1. Disagree completely for the turtleneck suggestion-that would have looked STRANGE with this particular dress….the dress itself is quite nice and she wears it well.

  2. Agree with the majority here
The bandeau actually blends effortlessly- and the dress looks a lot better on Shilpa than the model
A turtle neck would have been stuffy and killed the fun vibe the polka dots bring

  3. Once in a blue moon she looks so polished and you have a problem with that??? admit it you like OTT shilpa. She looks good .. that is an over ventilated dress and she did good still maintaining the principle design of the outfit.

  4. Shilpa actually wears it properly and nicely with a bandeau underneath. If it was Deepika and Sonam, they would wear nothing underneath in a trashy way.

  5. I disagree with the majority here – the bandeau ruins the lines of the dress. Just pick another dress if the original design doesn’t work for your tastes. I can see some other shirt layered underneath working but the different black of the bandeau is distracting. Also not sure if its necessary to point out how “proper” or “nice” it is to cover up – that combined with the comment that wearing nothing underneath is “trashy” seem rather prudish and sanctimonious. I think the model looks elegant and Shilpa makes it feel a bit ordinary.
