In Masaba

Shilpa celebrated Karva Chauth on Wednesday in a Masaba foil print sari and jewellery from Goenka India.

I wish she’d worn a gold necklace instead of the multi-colored kundan one she had on. What say you?

  2. She is a beautiful lady and does not need all this decking up, but since this is a religious function, it’s fine. But, would have preferred to see her draped in a Raw mango, Banarasi/ Paithani or Kanjeevaram saree… anything but this, sorry!

  3. Shilpa is making that saree work…else its a very poor choice given the plethora of wonderful silks in India. She is just a stunning woman!

  4. I miss Sridevi so much every year at Karwa Chauth…she was the original stunner in a saree and used to make it a point to be her resplendent self at this time of the yr. Gone too soon:(

    • You said exactly what was on my mind. Sridevi’s saree looks were mesmerizing. I miss her dearly. Class and elegance is a rare quality to find in this crowd. I do feel Shilpa looks pretty. And makes the look work for her.

  5. The necklace looks gorgeous. And shilpa looks radiant
The saree on the other hand looks
very inexpensive, for lack of a better word and basically looks like gold print on fabric, and the border doesn’t look nice either. Very very surprised that it’s a Ma$aba!

      • No I’m actually surprised its a Masaba 🙂 because usually Masabas are (or used to be) a bit unique. But this gold foil print is an eye sore and I did not like it one bit. There is nothing unique or nice about it and it borders on garish. And it comes with a hefty price tag as its a upscale brand.

  7. tacky saree … that foil print is ugly and saree looks cheep!… but she looks gorgeous .I India is the land of handlooms and she chooses this tragedy to be draped in .

  8. Shilpa looks gorgeous, and this shade of red is great on her, but everything else about this look is ho-hum. Like so many others are saying, I also am surprised she picked this (to me, ugly) saree, when there are so many beautiful traditional weaves she could have chosen from. I think the necklace is hideous too.

  9. Karwa chauth seems to further enhance Shilpa’s gaudy tacktastic choices. She never ever disappoints – our resident chammak challo. Good ole faithful.
