Shilpa wore a silk sari and pearl blouse set from Manish Malhotra draping the sari around her hands to show off the blouse. Shilpa tends to go overboard sometimes but I think she got it right here. She wore it well.

We get it that she has a killer body. But she need not dress like an apsara for every occassion, from TV shows to diwali bash to even movie screenings. It simply overkills the vibe and drives down the appeal and novelty of it.
Please bring outfits that would break this pattern and bring an entirely new spectrum of styling.
One can have a phenomenal sex appeal even without dressing this way every time.

Still gaudy. the only thing that may have triggered your approval maybe the color. The accessories are overplayed and the show of boobs or the lack of pallu being used to do it’s job is tacky imo.
Its Diwali so the firecrackers are popping out in Bollywood

I think if should be tolerant about Shilpa’s rather personable kitchy overdressing the same way we indulge Rekha’s. Both have been around for quite some time and have earned it. Personally I find Shilpa very defiant in an adorable sort of way. She sticks to her 90s siren look no matter what flyby trends come and go. I can identify a Shilpaesque / Shilpa-coded outfit from a mile now. It’s her signature and I am all for non-cookie cutter.
On an aside.. I applaud (lol) Shilpa for stopping at the pearl purse and not wearing pearl earrings, rings, necklaces and an iridescent white bindi to top it all. Now that would have been the overboard we associate with Shilpa.
She doesn’t tend to go overboard- going overboard it her ‘thing’!!!
