On The Festival Circuit
Juhi and director Onir weren’t the only ones busy with “I Am” screening in Australia. On the other side of the world, in London, Radhika (in a purple sari very reminiscent of Vidya’s appearance from LFW) attended the opening night screening with co-star Sanjay Suri.
We thought Sanjay looked great in the bandhgala jacket but Radhika’s look was very disheveled and her sari was badly worn.

Beautiful Sari and color ,but badly draped
This is a pune/maharastrian sari which does not fall well unless it is starched properly.Otherwise she looks lovely.
She looks great. I’ve worn these cotton saris enough times to know that they get rumpled pretty quickly.
love puneri sarees, and love the combination here, but an occasion like this deserved an upgrade. this is the rare occasion where the male star’s more dressed up than the female one!
totally agree ! she shouldve been more dressed. Not OTT but at least adequately dressed
the vidya balan link took me to the LFW post and i was aghast and ashamed to see how many people equated that appearance with a kaamwali’s. i hope and pray the comments on this pic don’t go down the same route. let’s have some respect girls.
the sari is lovely and she looks gorgeous as well.
i think she looks natural and lovely!
india seems to have inherited hollywood’s “formulaic perfection” approach that makes everyone in LA look like glossy, painted clones of one another. i think we should applaud someone who dares to look “disheveled”. the european tradition is much more creative that way, so there is a precedent for a more natural look.
i agree with the rest that cotton saris are hard to drape and maintain..but even with that..she could have done a lil’ better job with the accessories, hair and make-up..spl since this seems to be from a screening/ red carpet event..what a difference that would have made !
btw..you girls are going to make me do math !!!! and here i thought that I was done with it for life 😛
maths…i know!!
but what’s the reason? spam? but what would a robotic computer need to do with a fashion blog? lol
You won’t believe that there are robots set up to send out spam emails bout replica bags!
LOL! oh dear lord.
ah well, i guess we’re not lying now if the boss comes in and asks us what we’re doing.
we can truthfully answer “maths” 😉 😉 hehehe
I love this type of saree and the colours are beautiful. Maybe a little less for the occasion, but she looks lovely.
Sanjay looks fab!
Love that she is wearing a simple cotton saree…whoever she is, she is very pretty. They make a lovely pair.
Ouch, that was uncharacteristically harsh of you girls, P&P 🙂
Personally, I will take this look any day over the bling of Chopras and Kapoors!
or over the hype surrounding the extremely overrated duo of Sabya and Vidya.
what i don’t like is that people perceive kaamwalis in a negative sense.
when will people learn that everyone is equal?
anyways, coming back from my rambling….the colour suits her…just the sari draping isn’t that perfect. but hey, maybe there’s a good reason for that, maybe there’s something else happening in her life that she doesn’t think having the perfect sari is all that important…
I heart Sanjay Suri. Just saing:) He looks delish.
She decided to wear this to the screening of her movie!!….i’d written enough about the Lakme Fashion Week Vidya Balan appearance(that you have added a link to) so i ll not go about again stating my appreciation for individuality and the choice to not conform….but this is plain lazy and dowdy.
Somebody mentioned something about European red carpet fashion…well they are more quirky and creative and are not shy of taking risks or having fun….but i dont get the risk/fun vibe from this look at all
hope the talented, lovely actress puts in some effort into her next appearances…..
the pleats are badly done..otherwise the saree colour is nice
