In Akutee

Sagarika attended a screening wearing a hand-painted sari from her own label, Akutee, paired with a pink blouse and a black patent clutch. The black was too jarring against the red but am more disappointed by the drape.

  1. the worst thing that happened to mass indian fashion is these padded blouses. most are made by tailors/designers who have no idea that one size doesn’t fit all, that a size on a teen sits differently than the same size on a 30-something woman. youth can carry off anything but it ends up making mature women look totally weird.

  2. I was wondering what does the draping style achieve ?
While when the blouse has some beautiful intricate work on it and so the steps are arranged in a neat way to show the design but does’nt look awkward or exposing it is fine.
But that is not the case here.

  3. In all her Instagram photos, she looks exceptionally dignified with the saree pallu wrapped around her shoulder, just like her mother

I hear she belongs to some principality in Maharashtra

I wonder what happened here or advisor to look so tacky and crass. Mainstream BW’s lack of class and elegance as he clearly visible in the drape
