Rasika opted for a Raw Mango high-neck jacket and metallic sari combo to wear to the Hooda-Laishram reception pairing the two with gold earrings. I do have a weakness for metallic saris and the different top pairing won it for me. I liked. What about you?

..and the messy drape spoils it
I really do like Rasika & her individuality & confidence in fashion. I like this saree and blouse/top too. But the messy drape is a big let-down. The pleats & palla are both untidy & the palla has been really shoddily pinned to her shoulder. In all, great outfit, she looks very nice neck up, but the saree draping is an unfortunate rookie job.
Utterly love this. She owns it. And I say this as a non-fan of metallic sarees.
In theory, yes… I love it. The end result, though… Not quite. She looks lovely!
Also, such a pain to manage, that messy drape. Surely she didn’t expect to be staying put in this position all evening, haha.
Too much fabric pooling at the arm but otherwise as always impeccable Rasika.
6 yards is unsuited for a drape that wants to display blouse or showcase upper body imo. Fabric pooling or a ribbon of a fabric is what you end up with. Both look meh.
Are messy drapes the latest trend?
Coz most bolly ladies are quite into it of late
I love the outfit but the messiness is too jarring.
