Sari Style
Rani attended Durga puja festivities wearing a Sambalpuri, a kanjeevaram and a Sabyasachi sheer sari. I am biased towards the blue and green (being from Odisha) but didn’t really care for that neckpiece with that blouse. Her makeup also felt very heavy handed in each appearance.
What did you think?

The sarees are all gorgeous but she looks a perfect 10 in Sabya.
It’s nice to see Rani on these pages. I’m more inclined towards the 2nd and the 3rd appearances. Rani looks beautiful!
Loved her best in the green one then the white Maharani Gayatri inspired one and the gold one.
I wait every year for this time of the year to see the bong cousins, Rani and Kajol, and of course Tanuja Ji, come out in their traditional best.
They hardly go wrong in the ethnic department through they have questionable taste in the western wear department.
Yup, it’s a whole lot of make up which is such a pity as her always does so well with her traditional attire..love the kanjeevaram
I meant “she”
Love the green and the Sabya! The makeup is aging her unnecessarily. Especially in the kanjeevaram!
Rani is wearing her favourite festive jewellery – https://www.highheelconfidential.com/rani-mukherjee-at-durga-puja-navami-celebrations/
She brings it out every Durga Puja 🙂
Yes! she does repeat some of her gold jewelry.
I believe this is gutta pusalu?
Most likely, yes.
I love how Rani repeats the neck piece in the second picture almost every year.
love Rani in the sabya and the green sari! khub bhalo!
rani never goes wrong in saress, but i much prefer the sambalpuri and the kanji here (despite the heavy rekha vibes). but that sheer saree… nah, doesn’t work in a puja pandal.
agree on the make-up, it looks like pancake.
A normal blouse would have been good with the sabya.
Gorgeous sarees. That’s a lot of makeup; she’s beautiful and doesn’t need so much makeup.
Classic Handloom vs sabyasachi, I feel there is nothing that can match the complexity and grace offered by the traditional weaves. Love, love the Kanchi and Sambalpuri!!
I agree, the weavers are the original designers creating exquisite pieces. There is no comparison.
