Wearing David Koma, Rakul attended the HT Most Stylish event on Sunday evening. The finishing touches here were on point but I found that wide panel of crystal around the cutout too jarring.

I just abhor the belly button framing and focusing that some clothes and some wearers do. It looks so supremely tacky, vulgar and cheap. not fashionable at all
I think she looks hot
The cutout with its silver/sequinned edges makes the otherwise gorgeous gown look a bit costume-y. The styling is bang on though!
Let’s be honest, this is terrible.
If I had that midriff, I would show it off too surrounded by encrusted crystals

rakul is an example of the fact that clothes can do only some of the work. one needs to work the clothes too, but rakul simply doesn’t/can’t. someone like malaika now would be working the hell out of this.
still won’t be a good look though coz the outfit itself is terrible.
This outfit was a bad choice.
This would have been a tenner without the wide crystal beading. They could have kept them minimal in one or two rows.
But she looks smoking otherwise.

If the frame came with a painting, it would be a different conversation! The stylist could have amped it up by using some ab-jewelry and maybe some art! Could have elevated it. As it is, its a picture of her belly button, not very exciting. Neck up Rakul looks great.
Yaar pay attention to acting with lot of variations and leave these tacky clothes out for publicity. Wonder if bad clothes help with publicity ?
The face is too pink (blush) compared to the belly which makes the belly cut out stand out even more.
What in the name of Fashion is this?!!
