Priyanka was conferred with the Padma Shri in Delhi on Tuesday and at the formal event was seen in a yellow Madhurya sari with jewellery from Gem Arts Plaza and Apala By Sumit.

She looked lovely.

  1. Thanks P&P 🙂 now that I look closely, I wish the blouse wasn’t as matchey and didn’t have the same print as on the Sari! But ofcourse, overall I love the look, and PC looks great!!

  2. Love, love, love the saree. It’s a cheerful color, hand loomed, well draped and perfect for this occasion. Love the jewelry because it plays well with such a simple saree.

    • I find it amazing that PC chose a saree linked with charity work (the proceeds go to children) for this really big moment of her life. & it has an old charm to it too. Perfect choice & it pops on her very nicely.

  3. I was waiting for you to post this. She looks so good! Old world charm, defining what the saree is all about to Indian women!! Just love it! A simple crisp saree can never go wrong which was proved by our mothers. And here is Priyanka, personifying just that!

  4. This girl has got class and style. Absolutely Perfect.
Remembered Kangana in Bhibu for the national awards the last time, so inappropriate and desperate. This is so refreshing yet appropriate.

I love the sari and color on her. She looks amazing in ethnic wear and should definitely it more often.

  7. What a lovely sari and what a lovely Priyanka in it. It is refreshing to see handloom and I loved the blouse as well as the back of the blouse which can be seen in some pictures. I think it was the matchy-matchy that I really liked here – there is a certain charm to that sometimes. She looked beautiful and so very event appropriate. Isha’s Verdict: Fabulous!

  9. She looks lovely. The color and the 3/4th blouse suits her.
On an aside so it was Padmashri that she was conferred upon, alright. Kudos to her for the achievement. Kamal ji started out acting when he was 4 & got a national award for the same. Various records, umpteen awards, myriad achievements in the field of cinema representing many move industries in India, still took him many decades and received his Padmabhushan only 2 years back from the govt. So was kind of shocked to read someones comment few posts back that Priyanka got a Padmabhushan. lol.

  11. She looks gorgeous… Love the sari and her in it.
Like most people, have a minor issue with the bindi being so low, but she looks too darn pretty for that to matter 🙂

  12. Not liking this look one bit. Hair is off. Seems like she is dressed for a ‘kitty party”. I would have preferred a much ethnic saree on her.

  13. Am I the only one here who expected better than this. The completely flat falling hair, the 3/4 sleeve blouse, the bindi on the nose… I really can’t find anything to like here… She has better dress sense and could have done way better
