Pooja, who stars in Bombay Begum , attended promotions for the series wearing a tye-dye sari from Medium with silver jewellery. She looked lovely.
P.S. Have you caught the show yet? That office walk-in wardrobe filled with the saris sure had me envious.

Sadly BW dumps any woman over 30 or makes her 55 year old Akshay or SRK or Salman’s mother or grandmother :))
That’s not the case anymore. From Deepika, Katrina, Anushka, Sonam, Kareena etc…all top leading acteress are over 30 of course except for a few. This was the thing of the past.
Please give it a year or two, or until they inch forward to 38 or 39 and see the tide change. We will see these women gush about how playing Saif/SRK/Amitabh/Aamir/Salman’s mother was a “once in a lifetime opportunity they were BORN for” 😛
Their choice of course! Free country, independent women and all that 🙂

That’s a very cynical view, and you cannot possibly know how things will be in another 5 years or so. I already see a huge change in the way women are portrayed when compared to a decade ago. Maybe earlier, when women were mostly cast in glamorous roles with no real acting chops required, that might have been the case. But an artist only gets better with age, and with better roles, you’re going to see women in their 30s (aka in their PRIME) thriving.
Over 30 but hardly seen in movies anymore. I agree with the teen, tween actress fetish in Bollywood.

She seems to be in character for the promos. Cos this is really not her personal dressing style or even her celebrity persona.

She looks lovely but the show has too much preaching and activism. Glad to see women above 40 getting heftier roles and not relegated to tokenism.
Such a lovely saree. However I personally felt her sarees in the show could have been better.
I am comparing them to Dimple Kapadia’s sarees in Tandav
