In Archana Rao
At the announcement of her series, Parvathy was seen wearing a beaded pink sari by Archana Rao. Parvathy wore hers with a front closure blouse and draped the pallu in front around her neck, both moves that proved disastrous. If she had just worn the top shown below, the outfit would’ve looked so much better.

Yikes. This drape is just wrong. It does nothing for her. And such a delicate pretty saree too… pity.
Beautiful saree, but like the previous commenter the drape looks awful ..didn’t suit her a bit..neck up she looked lovely!
She has smashed patriarchy by wearing the saree like this. She is empowering women to look ridiculous. How dare HHC call the bold moves disastrous. 🙂
seriously? :/ ugh.
Your disdain for women who speak up for equality is perplexing.
Hw to make saree unelegant
oh dear
It reminds me of many ladies in the rural areas who wear the saree like a skirt and the blouse is completely visible. Perhaps a Keralite can shed some light…
In south India ( I am South Indian) sometimes men wear lungi , baniyan and towel around their necks , this outfit looks like that
i can see this saree on deepika at cannes
Perfect example of how to ruin a pretty delicate saree in a delish color. The blouse, the draping, the hair, the placement of the belt, the oily makeup – not a thing works. Such a disastrous miss from Parvathy, who is usually well turned out.
Showing my bias here, but I really admire Parvathy for her talent, activism, articulate advocacy, and courage in the face of massive misogynistic backlash. So, I feel bad for her, re this outfit.
I wonder at the thought process – how does someone so clearly very intelligent, and not given to spotlight-chasing have ever thought this was a good idea?
