Pallavi went red at the 2015 Filmfare Awards in a Gauri and Nainika gown. Wearing her hair down in soft curls, she finished out the look with a diamond ring and a statement spiked clutch.
She looked nice but the way she held the clutch looked a bit awkward.

I feel like you guys making digs at people based on how they hold a purse is a bit odd. This blog is about fashion right? She’s probably holding it that way to show off the spikes, if she held it the “normal” way her arm would cover the detail. Anyway, just think nitpicking about things like that are kind of irrelevant.
+1. I don’t see why it’s awkward. She’s clearly holding it in a manner that shows off the spikes. It’s probably held at an angle in some pics so that photographers from the other end can get a better view of it. I’m not saying how a person carries something off is irrelevant, but this one was a little too baseless imo 😛
You have an issue with how she “held the clutch?” I hope you didnt have a little too many glasses of wine when u were at this post. She is “holding” it with her hands… just how it is supposed to be held. People dont need a PhD in clutch holding. This is when I feel HHC borders on being fashionably foolish!
It’s a nice dress but where it flares out is at an odd point, making her hips look wide. Great effort though.
You know that “the way she held the clutch” is not a part of the outfit, right? The clutch itself is.
I would beg to differ there. You can wear a great look but if you carry a shoulder bag on the arm like we see a lot around here sometimes, it will look bad. Here, she holds the clutch awkwardly and hence the look as a whole doesn’t quite feel effortless. But, that’s just to me. 🙂
Agreed. Also style isn’t just about what you wear. Its also how you wear it.

I’d hold the clutch in that manner too…those spikes look sharp! The hip area is not flattering.

the dress is too long.
dont like the hair style, a soft updo would have been good.
she should have kept one hand down, the position of the hands looks little wired.
ps: she has a weapon disguised a clutch, with those spikes she can diffend herself 🙂
