Wearing an embellished lace sari by Prémya, Raashi attended the wedding reception held in Mumbai last night. With her hair slicked back, she rounded out the look with diamond and ruby jewelry.

In a sea of icy-toned sequinned saris and lehengas, Raashi immediately stood out in that color; props for skipping the more predictable choices. That said, not the biggest fan of the styling here- with the slicked back hair and bare neck (especially with that neckline), the whole look seemed rather incomplete.

If the idea was to skip heavy necklaces, wish she had kept the slicked back hair and added big traditional earrings instead, or went with a less severe hair do and added some volume and movement. This was bit of a lost opportunity!

For Ajay, it was a classic grey suit. And Kajol, well, she stayed true to the theme in her embellished Rimple And Harpreet Narula sari. Wearing her hair half up, she rounded out the look with traditional earrings.

I don’t think the darker-colored blouse works with the sari. Nor does its style. Perhaps a whole different style of blouse in a color closer to the sari’s might have helped elevate the look. As it stands though, while the sari by itself is okay, its styling let Kajol down.

Rakul picked a shimmery Tarun Tahiliani lehenga for the reception while Jackky suited up in a black tux. If ‘glitter’ was the theme, Rakul delivered. There really is not much else to say about the look. Meh.

Why Angad opted for a velvet bandhgala, Neha picked light pink separates to wear. With her hair in a messy fishtail braid, she rounded out the look with a statement necklace and a metallic oversized clutch.

She looked nice, but between the messy do and understated make-up, it was a bit too washed out for me. Had she picked a sleeker do and jewelry that stood out, the look would’ve worked a whole lot better. That said, I do wish she had saved this look for a regular event and picked something a little more festive instead.

Bhumi attended Sid and Kiara’s wedding reception wearing a Tarun Tahiliani sari with a pearl choker. Ms. Pednekar’s penchant for forcing herself into ill-fitted tops continues. In fact, this could’ve been a winner if not for that blouse.
