In Tarun Tahiliani

Wearing a heavily embroidered Tarun Tahiliani palazzo set, Madhuri attended the NMACC event on Saturday evening. At first glance, I wasn’t loving that crop jacket and top but slowly warmed up to it. Given that the outfit also was so one-toned, I wish all her jewellery had been emarald which would’ve made this outing more impactful.

What did you think?

In Monisha Jaising

In her custom Banarasi Monisha Jaising gown, Kriti brought some drama to the pink carpet. Smoky eyes, braided hair, Amrapali earrings and metallic pumps finished out the look well. She looked great! (The forced Angelina leg was unnecessary in every single photo but it didn’t take away from the fact that she owned and worked every bit of this look!)

In Rahul Mishra Couture

At the NMACC India in Fashion Exhibit event, Ananya was seen in a black and gold Rahul Mishra creation from his couture collection. Given that this gown is so bottom heavy, it was a tricky one to pull off but she did so with ease. Kudos for keeping everything else simple and letting the gown do all the talking. I also expect that not everyone is going to like the gown. I, in fact, didn’t like it when I saw it on the runway but not minding it here.

At The Gala

Both Aditi and Shanaya teamed their skirts with white shirts and layered necklaces but that’s where all similarity ended.

While Aditi’s Rahul Mishra lehenga/skirt was absolutely exquisite, the look itself fell rather flat. Perhaps it was because of the shirt which just didn’t work, or the choice of jewelry that seemed rather lost in the look. Compared to Shanaya’s look, it was a snooze. Speaking of Shanaya, she looked great- the skirt-shirt combo was styled to perfection; I have no complaints.

In Rahul Mishra Couture

Giving us quite the much needed respite in her elegant and understated Rahul Mishra gown was Ms. Kapoor. I am on the fence about those Olio haath-phools but she still looked hella good!
