Doing White

In more ways than one, Mugdha and Neetu looked very similar to me. They both wore white with a bindi with the hair parted and twisted back but while Mughda tied it up, Neetu kept it down.

Neck up this is the best Ms. Chandra’s looked in a long while. As for the sari/blouse, it looks like any other white-bling-channeling-Chandni kinds that we’ve seen on so many others. Mugdha, on the other hand, looked gorgeous in her white halter gown. The empire waist makes her look so statuesque but I think she could’ve done without the bindi.

Sari Style

A ‘yay’ for Celina for having chosen to wear saris to two back-to-back award shows and between the two, I’d have to pick the silk sari from the Apsara Awards even though I really, really dislike that sheer sleeved blouse. It either had to be the sheer sleeved blouse or the sheer floral print sari and we just went ahead picked the lesser evil. 😉

On an aside, she absolutely works the big bindi. Love it.

More Or Less?

Perhaps, she heard us because, of late, Ms. Balan has been giving us a whole lotta color. But, while we hated the less floral yellow outfit, loved the more floral angrakha outfit. Which outfit do you prefer?

On an aside, don’t Vidya’s bindis wanna make you hum ‘Bindiya Chamkegi…’. 😛

Sari Style

The festive season has had Ms. Mukherjee wearing a lot of saris and while some hit their mark, some clearly left a lot to be desired.

Our favorite of the four had to be her look in the white sari (far right), pulled back hair and big bindi… She looked gooood! In fact her appearance in the other printed sari comes a close second. The sari itself isn’t our favorite but Rani looked lovely in it.

The least favorite was a toss up between her in the garish red sari and in the equally garish green sequin halter blouse paired with the white sari.

P.S: Doesn’t Rani seem to have a thing for h u g e earrings when going with saris?! Is that a pattern we spot?! 😉

On The Ramp

When I first heard that Bipasha was walking the ramp at the first Kolkata Fashion Week, I assumed she would do it for her favorite designers, Gauri-Nainika. Which is why, seeing her walk for Monapali is quite a surprise. She sported a very Bengali look wearing a sari with a red puffed full sleeve blouse and a big bindi.

This look was a welcome change and I do wish she would sport this more and by that I mean traditional wear. But then that is just asking for too much! 😛

P.S. You can also see her sport the same look at a press conference two years ago here and we thought she looked great then too.
