We’ve yet to see the tinseltown ladies pick up Balmain but until they do, we’ll keep ourselves happy spotting some on the non-filmi ones. Closer to home, Ms. Poonawala wore the same Balmain jacket seen on Gisele on the Vogue cover and in London, Priyanka Gill hosted a Diwali party wearing a Balmain dress with a heavy kundan choker. Am all about mixing it up but the heavy-duty traditional necklace didn’t quite work with the edgy dress.

P.S. Still have my fingers crossed and hoping to spot one (some day) on the ‘filmy’ crowd (and not in a magazine spread). Will it ever happen? 😛

In White In Black

After donning a white Dior gown in Delhi for the launch of Dior’s Fall collection, Ms. Chopra made an appearance in a black dress with a jeweled detail in Mumbai. Unfortunately, both appearances were a letdown because of the hair. The streaks weren’t present for the Delhi appearance but the hair didn’t quite work with the gown (case of a bad wig?). As for the Mumbai appearance I didn’t like the material of the dress, but with such an interesting neckline/back, wish Ms. Chopra had washed out the streaks. The blue and the green clashed a bit much. For me, at least.

You like either appearance or neither?

Update: The streaks were there even in Delhi.

After having spotted countless ladies wear this dress, not much is left to be said except Ms. Basu fills out the dress well! 🙂 The hair do though has left us disappointed! Too bad she gave into extensions, we were loving the sassy shorter cut on her.
