In what I think is a Vikram Phadnis outfit, Amrita was photographed at a Diwali do swathed in velvet. The green anarkali with the blingy accent at the waist is a bit much for me.

While Sushmita chose a simple, plain-white anarkali, it was a more ornate one for Neetu at their film’s mahurat. I love Sushmita’s look but for those heels. The footwear is oh so wrong.

We’ve already seen a few ladies tonight from Diwali bashes and we will be seeing some more but it amazes me how Dia always manages to make an impression no matter what. In this case, she kept it really simple by going for an orange suit that was neither too gaudy in embroidery nor in color. It was just right for the festive season.

Considering the recent sightings of Manish Malhotra outfits on ladies, we should be glad that we didn’t see another garish one on Kareena. She went a simpler route in a red suit with blue churidaars. While, I like that the worksmanship is simple (I mean relatively), am not a fan of the bright red and blue pairing.
