In Black

I am willing to bet a million bucks that Kalyani (V.P. Of Marketing, Dior India) went the black ( and a more subdued) gown route to let all her guests shine at the launch event. Didn’t quite work though, because she still came off looking smokin! Simple chandelier earrings and a gold clutch worked wonders to her look.

Deepika also did a very similar look but hers fell so flat and we all know why, don’t we? That lip color is not working for the look!

Switching It Up

I picked this Spring 2010 look for Soniya but turns out that Neha stole it for the event. Well, half of it anyways. Instead of going with the silk lace skirt, Neha opted for black harem pants which I don’t mind but I really wish she had pulled the hair back into a pony. The red lips then would’ve made for a fierce look! (And showed off the sheer part more.)

In Sabyasachi

Not everyone was in Dior at the Dior store launch although if Kalyani Chawla had her way everyone would be! 😉 Sabina wore a white lehenga (worn the half-sari way) and was such a sight for sore eyes amongst all the gowns. It’s not that the Dior gowns weren’t delish. But, there is always something so soothing about seeing a traditional outfit!

From Cover To Real

So glad Shazahn didn’t make the same mistake as Soniya. Her Fall 2010 silver Dior was a great pick. Even though the dress comes with a lining, not sure why Shazahn felt the need to pin it up at the bust. Unless, of course, it was missing when delivered. 🙂

The Victorian-style necklace could’ve been given a miss, but we still like the look. You?

Yin And Yang

It’s funny how two very similar gowns worn with side swept hair give us two very different results. While, I loved Sophie’s whole look, Monikangana was a disaster head to toe! (Who wears pointey beige footwear with that gown?!?) A nice updo and some glitter pumps would’ve made a world of a difference for Moni.
