The Pink Ladies

We saw many ladies in pink saris at the Filmfare South Awards but not everyone was a favorite. Samantha was pretty in her pink embroidered sari but the pearl tasseled halter blouse just killed it for me.

It’s odd that of the lot, it was a pink sari paired with a sequin blouse that won it for me (Kriti) and only because she just wore it so well. The other two I am not even going to bother writing about. You can see how bad their saris were.

Update: It was a stage outfit (see here. But, that still doesn’t explain the clutch.
2nd Update: Those were passes in her hand. 😛 Phew!
I really really hope that this was a stage outfit on Divya and also because I did read that she performed today. But, then why would she be carrying a clutch for a stage outfit? (Scratching head…)

If it isn’t a stage outfit, my friends, I think we’ve got ourselves a WTHeyyy!

With the feather detailing already on the dress, Mamta didn’t really need the floral headband. It felt like one accessory too much. Not that I like the dress.

On an aside, it is great to see her completely recovered from her cancer (Hodgkin’s Lymphoma).

Priya picked a long white anarkali/lehenga (a Manish Malhotra?) that was rich on gold embroidery and had a patchwork trim. While, I am not a fan of the design, she did look good in white.

It was a blue Shilpa Reddy sari for Lakshmi at the South Filmfare awards that took place in Hyderabad on Sat night. Not a fan of the color, but Lakshmi sure wore hers well. Only wish she had styled her hair better. Do not like the way the bangs fall on her and definitely not digging the red highlight.

Update: It wasn’t a Payal Singhal.
