The 2011 edition of Aamby Valley India Bridal Week kicked off today with shows by Rocky S, Vikram Phadnis and Arjun & Anjalee Kapoor.

Where there is a fashion week, there’s got to be celeb showstoppers, right? Well, day one saw Ameesha, Mallika and Neil Nitin Mukesh on the runway.

Don’t know about you, but we are kind of shocked at how great Ameesha looks in her green Rocky S lehenga. Ms. Sherawat on the other hand just looked over styled!

Camilla Belle is in India and has been busy promoting her movie Speedy Singh with the rest of the cast and Akshay Kumar, who is a co-producer.

We had two public spottings of her and both times she was dressed in blue. We are diggin’ the casual look on the right more. But, that is not to say, we aren’t obsessing over the black pumps on the left.

Speaking of blue, Ms. Hilton also just arrived in India wearing a blue jumpsuit and sporting a handbag from her own collection. Don’t blame us for not getting too excited about her. We just aren’t fans.

We love kaftans! Well, how can one not? They are so roomy, breezy and so very forgiving to that extra love handle that creeps up over winter. 😛

Except, while we love the sunburst like print on Poorna’s Mynah one, hating the fact that her hands are just lost in the over-sized sleeves and that she wore it to a nighttime bash. Light kaftans like these seem more appropriate for a poolside party or the beach.

In a Zara-like grey dress, Deepika attended the launch of ITC’s Laboratoire Naturel in Bangalore. The red lips worked really well with the grey dress, we really liked it.

But, once we saw the patent red Ferragamo flats, it was one red accent too many for us.
