Florals were a major part Drashta’s Spring/Summer 2013 presentation (even though the FW was billed as Winter/Festive) as most Spring collections are wont to, the difference here though lying entirely in its execution. Origami’esque folds and pleats, classic silhouettes and high-slits all added power to a more traditionally feminine print and color-palette. A collection rich in cocktail and evening wear, we hope to see the designs off-the-runway!

Lending their support to designer Roma Harsinghani were these ladies wearing creations by the designer. Of the three, we think Anushka stood out the most in her black and grey number. Got a favorite?

Is it us or do the outfits look better on these ladies than they did when the collection was presented on the runway? We think its the overcrowding and styling that killed the latter.

In an embroidered Label by Ritu Kumar dress, Preeti attended day two of Lakme Fashion Week. While individually the tan Chanel and the coral pumps worked with the look, both together didn’t quite work with the dress.

LFW Winter/Festive 2012: Payal Khandwala

We loved Payal Khandwala’s debut collection and this presentation titled ‘Sadhu and the Samurai’ seemed an extension of it. Present was the same easy, pared down DeBo vibe. What was new however was the overture to a little more emphasis to form and play with drape. Two collections down, the designer has an unmistakable aesthetic and we’d love to see how it evolves with the next presentation.
