Going the sari route were both Sharmiela and Parvathy on day one of SIIMA with the former in a lace Neeta Lulla and the latter wearing her favorite label, MapxencaRS. Can’t say we are fans of either sari but what about you?

One to mostly do desi at award shows, Shriya surprised us by opting for this coral Gaurav Gupta gown. Another surprise was the decision to not overload this look with bling. She looked great!

In a Wendell Rodricks gown, Lakshmi attended day one of SIIMA being held in Sharjah this year. Am not feeling the gown but what I don’t like more about the look is the glitter headband. It makes her look like a kid playing dress-up and in this case that of a bride.

Day one of SIIMA saw Asin in a Masaba sari and while she looked pretty, the yellow potli that was added to play off of the embroidery of the sari seemed to distract from the look than add to it. Agree?

The South Indian International Movie Awards is being held in Sharjah this year and day one festivities saw Shruti in a strapless Rajat Tangri. Am not sure if the sheer skirt comes separate because it seems to be worn higher on Shruti and that made the look odd. As did material of the bodysuit and the bunching up on the torso.
In all, the look didn’t work one bit. Here’s hoping day two is better.
