We didn’t have one but two desi design sightings on the Cannes red carpet on day two. Hofit, who also attended the premiere of ‘Mr Turner’, wore a Gaurav Gupta design. The gold gown featuring a plunging neckline was finished out with gold drop earrings and a satin gold clutch.
While she look good, do you think the look was too one-toned. Maybe a dark colored clutch?

Mallika attended the India Party at Cannes on day two of the film festival wearing a bright orange jacket with shirred tights and boots. Waist up she looked nice, but the boots and tights were a bit of a snooze.

Vishakha Singh walked the red carpet on day two of Cannes wearing a MapxencaRS modified sari. You’ll remember seeing a similar version of it on Aaksha Goradia at the International Emmy Awards last year (here).
Am still not a fan of that structured striped peplum detail but keeping the hair sleek and simple helped. Vishakha looked nice.
On an aside, am a wee bit disappointed that the designers didn’t give out something different to Vishakha.

Giving us another sighting in a different pair of printed Ella Moss pants was Freida while leaving Hotel Martinez. This time though, she wore a matching jacket and finished out the look with Ferragamo flats.
Not a fan of the flats but she looked cute.
