At the Mirchi Music Awards, in her Manish Arora look, Anushka sure had me doing a double take. Firstly, because I wouldn’t have expected her to do a lehenga-like skirt at a music awards and secondly, we had ourselves a Manish Arora look that didn’t actually look bad in photographs.

Ms. Manchanda nailed the look by pairing the sparkly skirt with a muted top which balanced out the look well and adding subtle jewellery that complemented the look well. Loved it!

A Four-Way Ditto!

Having had three sightings of this one-shouldered Malandrino gown back in 2013, one wouldn’t think that we’d have another one ever again. But, we did see it again on Anjana on Thursday evening who wore the gown to the Mirchi Music Awards.

We still think Ms. Mirza wears it best with Shibani coming a close second.

The Kapoors always keep it interesting by wearing designers that we wouldn’t otherwise see on these pages. At the Filmfare Glamour & Style Awards, Sonam gave us a first-time sighting of a Jean-Louis Sabaji creation from the Lebanese designer’s Fall 2015 collection.

As far as styling was concerned, the actor didn’t foray too far from the runway one, wearing the feathered gown with a wet hairdo but swapping the black swan eye make-up for a winged one.

As dramatic as the look was, unfortunately we weren’t fans of the gown itself and didn’t really think the wet-look worked with the gown either.

Wearing Tanieya Khanuja separates, Sonal attended the Filmfare event. A pair of earrings, big-dialled wristwatch and neutral peep-toe pumps are all that it took to finish out her look. She looked great but I can’t help but feel it was a tad casual for the rather formal event she was at.

Wearing a Harsh Harsh bodycon dress, Akshara attended the Filmfare Glamour & Style Awards with ankle-strap sandals and a pair of gold leaf earrings and beaded bracelets finishing out her look.

A better pair of footwear and I might have liked the look but my bigger issue with Akshara is that it always feels like, she’s been forced to play dress up.

You can’t blame us for feeling that way, especially, coming off of the GIMA Awards, where the young actor was seen in a pink dress that felt like it belonged in a thirteen year old’s closet. The two looks were so poles apart!
