While a part of me loves the starkness of the look, especially the way the clothes play off against the rather sweet hair and make-up… The proportions themselves were an issue. Given the flared pants, wish Ms. Padukone had chosen something with lesser volume on top. Or gone the whole hog, throw on some chunky accessories and given us a complete Seventies feel. As it stands, underwhelming as it was, she can’t be faulted waist-up!
